Traffic advisory (TA) TCAS issues a TA once an aircraft becomes a plausible threat to the host aircraft . A TA provides situational awareness for the pilot. Additionally, the TA readies the pilot for a potential RA issuance. When a TA occurs, TCAS marks the intruder yellow on the traffic display and provides an auditory warning to the pilot.
